I purchased the car some ten years ago. She was delivered to Jack Barclay's in 1957. Her main claim to fame is that at one time in her life she belonged to Michael Caine ... not many people know that ! A few years ago I used her to bring Brian Blessed , the film star, to perform the opening ceremony at the Mytchett Community Centre.

Naturally she has a 4 speed gearbox based on a G M design, can reach 60 m.p.h. in 13 seconds and has a top speed of 106 m.p.h. The suspension can be adjusted to give a normal or hard ride. Her overall length is approximately seventeen foot six and she weighs 4,288 lbs. The gold mascot is only plated but nevertheless is worth somewhere in the region of £175.00 . Even a replacement ashtray is an expensive item at £150.00. Every piece of wood in the car has on the back of it the body number so that a correct piece can be located as a replacement. The grill, like all Rolls Royce grills even today, is handmade. The craftsman who made it has stamped his initials on the back. There were some 2,300 Cloud 1’s made and were offered for sale at £4,669.
