The car was purchased on the 22 August 1995 from a man in Hertfordshire. He had only run it some 475 miles in five years. It was kept in good condition in a barn.

It was built for General Franco’s visits to the U.S.A. It has appeared in the film " Omen " where it was used as Gregory Peck’s embassy car in one of the opening shots as he arrived at the cathedral ( Guildford Cathedral ) and was also used in the film "Batman" in 1984 starring Michael Keaton and still has the number plates used in the film.It is twenty two foot long and can carry seven passengers and a driver. For privacy, the rear occupants can raise the electric division leaving the chauffeur to concentrate on manoeuvring this left hand drive vehicle. It is ideally suited for our country in so far as it is the custom for the person of importance to sit on the left side of the vehicle. When that person wishes to get out the driver does not have to walk all the way around the back of the car to open the door as with a right drive vehicle. Its classic looks are a real eye turner and its size and comfort level , with working air conditioning and self seek radio, are something else ! As to the vehicle itself, it is considered to be in advance of most U K vehicles of its time. It has hydramatic suspension and the gearbox was adapted and used in Rolls Royce cars.
